It’s FALLL!

Ok, it was technically fall as of September 22nd. But now it’s the first day of October! So it’s getting real now! This is one of my favorite months out of the year! Between my wedding anniversary and Halloween, I can barely contain my excitement! I even convinced Evan and we made some updates to our outside decor.

In honor of today being the first day of October, I created a list of my favorite must-see fall movies! These are the essentials for a good October!

  • HOCUS POCUS (caps because it’s my favorite!)
  • Halloweentown – all of them
  • Ghostbusters
  • Casper
  • The haunted mansion
  • Twitches (both, obviously)
  • And of course, the classic horror movies/series.. (nightmare on elm street, Halloween, Texas chainsaw massacre)

These are just a few, but they’re so good! I can’t wait to get my share of Halloween movies in this month, especially when I’m on a stay-cation in two weeks! After all, is is our anniversary month! Two years of being married to my absolute best friend and soul mate. Two years of adventures and journeys with Evan, and the rest of our lives to go. Getting married young isn’t for everyone, but I get to grow with My Best Friend (cue our first dance song: my best friend by Tim McGraw). And yes, I know I’m cheesy. 🧀

Speaking of cheesy, today was day 1 of our keto diet, and I’m NOT dead. Apparently cheese is keto friendly… who knew? Honestly though, it hasn’t been THAT bad for the first day. Our meals were surprisingly…amazing!

Our keto friendly meals for day 1:

Breakfast: Boiled eggs (in the interest of transparency, I skipped breakfast like I always do)

Snacks: 2 packs of 100-calorie almonds, pepper jack string cheese stick, and celery with salsa (yes I know, weird. Surprisingly not bad).

Lunch: Cauliflower rice that had onions and bell peppers with spicy turkey (looked eh, tasted amazing!)

Dinner: A mix of seasoned vegetables sautéed in butter and avocado oil.

Although I’m not in it for the weight loss, I’m enjoying the weird food choices. Also, I love butter.. so I guess I’m in it for the butter.

This coming weekend we are going on a date weekend in Nashville, where we will play tourists and experience Nashville from a new perspective. Oh, and we’re seeing Kevin Hart. Can’t forget him! You can read alllll about our trip next Monday! 💙
